Aside from standard Help Desk work and maintenance of the Intranet, I assume
responsibility for the videoconferencing and AV equipment. I make bi-weekly trips to our Chicago office to do maintenance work there and hold training sessions on using the Joomla CMS.
Part-Time Help Desk Assistant, TVSA, Atlanta, GA: May 2007 - December 2008
At TVS, I assisted their Lead Developer by testing and deploying a Subversion server and Java Servlet servers running Apache/Tomcat and Jetty as well as clustering solutions and load balancers such as Terracotta and nginx. Later on, I helped design and deploy a new corporate intranet based on the Joomla Content Management System after evaluating the Plone and Drupal Content Management Systems.

During this period I was an on call IT service representative to multiple businesses as well as private users in and around the Atlanta and Marietta areas.

During this period I assisted in maintaining 25 PC computers and 5 macs within a Christian outreach ministry. My work ranged from software installs to disk imaging, data rescue and system rebuilds.

During this period I was a sales associate at the popular video game retail chain. On occasion I would troubleshoot installation as well as problems with PC/console based games.

I specialize in various Linux distributions including Red Hat/Fedora, Novell/Suse, Debian/Ubuntu and ArchLinux as well as open source software such as Apache, Lighttpd, ProFTPd, MySQL, PHP, Joomla, Drupal, Plone, Subversion, Git, Mercurial and MoinMoin Wiki.
